Quinten Lekas

Clinical Psychologist

  • Quinten has a broad range of experience in the industry, working with clients across the lifespan in different sectors including private practice, public health, and research trials. He believes that everyone is unique, and he tailors his work to each client, using eclectic therapeutic approaches. Quinten loves seeing clients develop insight into their own personality and challenges, offering a thoughtful balance between honesty and support. 

    Quinten completed the Master of Clinical Psychology, at Griffith University. During his studies, Quinten was awarded the Southern Pacific Development Masters Scholarship and the University Award for Academic Excellence. Quinten has also taught a range of university subjects at Griffith University and enjoys seeing students develop their academic and clinical skills. 

    Quinten loves staying active and you’ll often find him out on the golf course attempting to lower his handicap or trying his hand at home improvements. When the sun goes down, he likes playing board games with his young family.

Dannielle Finnerty

Registered Psychologist

  • Dannielle offers a warm, direct, and collaborative approach to therapy, focused on helping clients understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, and developing practical strategies that work in everyday life.

    Dannielle supports many clients navigating neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, or a sense that they’ve lost themselves along the way. She helps to build skills in emotional regulation, reducing overthinking, strengthening self-worth, and reconnecting with identity and values.

    Dannielle draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT-informed, and trauma-informed therapy, always tailored to the individual—because effective therapy is never one-size-fits-all.

Shaun O’Brien

Clinical Psychologist

  • Shaun is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in counselling and nine years in senior roles within public mental health. His background spans child and adolescent services and adult outreach, where he has supported people with complex and co-occurring mental health difficulties.

    Shaun works with adolescents (12+), adults, and families, with particular interests in trauma, anxiety and depression, relationship and family difficulties, OCD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.

    His approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. He prioritises building a genuine therapeutic relationship and offers a relaxed, confidential space where you can speak openly and make sense of what’s going on, at a pace that feels right for you. His aim is to help you feel understood while working together toward practical, meaningful change.

    Shaun is trained in a range of evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, schema therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and integrates these approaches to suit each individual.

    Outside of work, Shaun enjoys hiking, cooking, stand-up comedy, and spending time with his 11 nieces and nephews.

Dr Romy Engelbrecht

Clinical Psychologist

  • Dr Romy Engelbrecht is a Clinical Psychologist and Registered Music Therapist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She works with adult clients through a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, grief, trauma, and life transitions.

    She is passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and free from judgement. Romy brings a warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative style to therapy, and sees it as a genuine partnership—working together to better understand challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

    With a background in both psychology and creative therapies, Romy takes a flexible, client-centred approach. She tailors therapy to each individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based and experiential approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and emotion-focused techniques. This allows her to blend practical strategies with deeper emotional work, depending on the needs of her clients.

    Romy is particularly interested in supporting clients to better understand themselves, navigate complex life experiences, and reconnect with what matters most to them.

    When not working, Romy enjoys anything to do with music, swimming, reading a good fiction book, and spending time with her young family.

Cassandra Wesley Klements

Registered Psychologist

  • Cassandra is currently on maternity leave and is expected to return in 2027.

    Cassandra is a Registered Psychologist with an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from the University of Derby, UK.

    She has worked across both public and private sectors, gaining extensive experience supporting individuals with a variety of challenges. She has work with children, adolescents, families, and adults, with concerns such as depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, mental health, and physical disability.

    Cassandra is known for her warm, compassionate, and empathetic nature. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable to share openly. Her approach is caring and collaborative, encouraging clients to feel heard and empowered.

    Drawing on evidence-based practices, Cassandra integrates a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring her work to help clients achieve their personal goals.

Kelly Lekas

Practice Manager

  • Kelly brings a wealth of experience to her role as the Practice Manager at Remedy Space. After more than a decade of owning and operating her own business, she’s developed skills in keeping operations smooth, building great client relationships, and leading a dedicated team.

    Kelly is passionate about helping others in the online psychology community. She makes things as easy as possible for clients, ensuring that booking and managing appointments is hassle-free. She is available to offer support and make sure everything runs effortlessly for both clients and the practice team.

    Kelly is a mum to two lively kids, who she loves exploring the Tasmanian hinterland with. Outside of motherhood, she enjoys an eclectic range of hobbies including reading, baking, and soccer.
